HALF-FAMILY

The Half-Family
Three sons and a daughter,
Drunken father and carefree mother
All of them half-insane, half-naïve, half-a-family
Most of them smoked with the head so insane
Seen always loitering around is the elder,
Second sat on the wall, half dead,
Humpty and dumpty, being high on weed,
Younger sold cooling glasses, caps, hats and helmets,
Most of them he claimed are farin (foreign)
Emported (imported) from America and Deli (Delhi)
Sometimes seen smoking pot with brothers
Girl doubles insane seen defecating in the high places,
Wore scanty dress, threw food at passerby,
Always spat, cursed, winked, signaled, flying kissed,
Enacted few heroine dialogues and dances.
Father a food machine, mother a cook machine,
Stayed in a unhygienic place,
Garbage around, shabby here dusty there, sewage share,
This is the place they always stayed, slept and cooked,
No proper roof, no proper proof, no proper ground,
Once on a day there came a rain so heavy a rain,
Swept all their things, clothes, grain and same
The sun came the next dried all their shame
Cold came again skinned all their game,
None came their gain, they went nowhere,
Hope they denied, not found in their books,
No help came there, continued they in all their fate
Political, philosopher, philanthropy surprise subtract,
Humility hostility misery and melancholy did multiply,
Added the woes, sorrow, poverty to all their heirs,
This is the way half-family lay, this is the way divided the day.

Father always in search for a metaphor,
A cursed food machine, mother a cook machine,
Stayed in a unhygienic place,
